This week we’re venturing east again to a city that is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in the world. Hong Kong really does have the X Factor.
Our pentahotel in Hong Kong (located at Kowloon) is extremely stylish and acts as a great base-camp from which to adventure into this vibrant city.
Visiting Hong Kong is like entering a cultural nutribullet; Although built on traditional Chinese foundations the British influence is clear to see, as well as cultures that transcend from the city’s Fujian communities. This means Hong Kong is beautifully diverse and unique with all these cultures blending harmoniously.
While in HK, make the most of our state of the art pentagym and pentapool…a great way for pentapeople to relax and unwind after a busy day in the city.
So, if you’re heading to this wonderfully miscellaneous metropolis in the near future, what should you look out for?
Swan Lake on Ice: 27th April – 8th May
The spectacular ballet show takes to the ice and ramps things up to a new level by including an incredible 24 Olympic, World and European champion skaters! This is an amazing 5 star production that is extremely innovative and makes for scintillating viewing that will have you on the edge of your seat. This Iconic love story is on at Hong Kong’s Cultural Centre’s Grand Theatre…not to be missed.
Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival: 10th – 12th June
Essentially this a party that stems from an ancient Chinese festival and takes place under the modern skyline of the Victorian Harbour. You’ll witness vibrantly coloured boats, beers from the San Miguel beer fest and a raucous crowd that screams for the boats and dances to the live music. Witness an amazing party atmosphere in true Hong Kong style.
Continue the party post-festival at the pentalounge, where we’re open 24hrs and serve all kinds of wonderful drinks…the celebrations don’t need to stop!
Symphony of Lights
This spectacular light show takes place at 8pm every night above both sides of the Victoria Harbour Waterfront. The accompanying music really adds to a mesmerising visual experience and as a result it was voted as the Guinness World Records best permanent light and sound show. We wonder why…
If you’re attending the lights show, we suggest you hit up Kee Club afterwards. It’s a great place to have a drink, chill out and discuss the incredible spectacle you’ve just witnessed.
